On Tuesday 1st August, I attended 2 meetings to discuss the campaign and how to take things forward. Below is the outcome from those meetings.
Maeve See Me Scotland: Putting me forward for media, public speaking and community champion training. She will be talking to the health and social care policy officer about the petition and campaign as he is highly interested in its progress and they will be looking into creating a stigma and discrimination guide to roll out to groups and organisations across Scotland. I have her full support and I've to contact her her if I need any advice/support.
Councillor Gillian Fannan: Speaking to the heads of NLC at the social work meeting this week regarding the campaign and how Cumbernauld would benefit from a community based service. Will speak to the head of funding to arrange a meeting for me. Sending me information on a new grant that is available. Contact other local councillors to gain their support and inquire about voluntary experienced staff to help at the group. I also have her full support and to keep in contact.
